As SQL Database Administrator (DBA) for IPRS Group, you will take overall responsibility for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of IPRS company applications. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
As a SQL Database Administrator (DBA) · Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to live production systems. · Manage SQL Backups, and restores, collaborate with IT colleagues when required. · Manage SQL Replication, and follow best practices. · Configuring and maintaining database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. (Memory, CPU, Hard Drive space, Database tuning, Server online etc.) · Assist in analysing, solving, debugging and correcting issues related to SQL Servers and T-SQL. · Refine and automate regular database maintenance processes, track issues, and document changes. · Manage SSIS, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Database Agents Jobs, Windows Scheduled Tasks and SQL Maintenance. · Support developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.

Qualifications: Minimum of higher education qualification (A-Levels, BTEC National Diploma, Higher National Diploma) in a computer related subject (E) Degree in Mathematics/Statistics or related subject which includes formal training in data analysis (D)
Experience: - Knowledge MS SQL Server Administration (E)
- Strong Understanding of Relational Database Design (E)
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization, using SQL Server Profiler and other troubleshooting tools (E)
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models (E)
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server (E)
- Working Understanding of SQL Server Integrated Services and SQL Server Agent Jobs (E).
- Experience with Dashboarding Packages Power BI (E)
- Strong SQL Skills (E)
- Strong skills across the Microsoft Office Suite (E)
- Strong Understanding of SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) (D)
- Knowledge of additional programming language (R, Python etc) (D)
- Experience working with Windows Server, and SQL Server. (E)

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm or 9pm - 6pm. Flexible. Location: Hybrid / Claydon IP6 Free parking onsite
